Magic Tricks Show
( extracurricular work)
Harriette Potter: Hi, Kids! My name is Harriette Potter. You don't know me but you know my brother pretty well. Who is he? Yes, you are right, he is Harry Potter. He couldn't come to you today. I came here together with my friends, young magicians, from a magic school. We will teach you some magic tricks. They are not difficult because we are just beginners.
Do you believe that I can draw a circle around me and go anywhere, take any thing in this room without leaving this circle? No? Whatch how to do it.( The girl draws a circle with a piece of chalk around her waist).
Now meet my best friend Candy. She used to be a mouse.
Candy: As soon as I hypnotise one of you, he will not be able to put his right leg aside. Do you believe me? Come out! I'll prove you. (a volunteer comes out, he stands with his right leg close to the wall).
Harriette: This is Foxy. I'm sure you will like her.
Foxy: I can easily guess under which glass this coin is. I'll go out of the room and you will put a coin under one of the glasses. Have no doubt, I will find the coin. (Foxy leaves the room, the children hide the coin under the glass. They don't know that she has got a companion among the children. He helps her guess with the help of special signals).
Carl: Good afternoon children! My name is Carl. Some years ago I was a raven. Harry Potter made me a boy.I am sure you will not devide these six buttons evenly among four sacks. (Children come out, try to solve the problem). To do this, you must put three buttons into these two sacks. Then put them into other two sacks. You see, it is not difficult.
Harriette: And now you will see my favourite trick and my friend Rainbow.
Rainbow: I want to show you a trick with a balloon. Can you run a pin into a balloon? ( He runs a pin into the balloon). You see, my balloon is still round. (He sticks invisible tape inside and outside the balloon before the show).
Harriette: Our friend Tricky is going to show one more trick. Are you ready?
Tricky: Watch attentively. I am sure you all will be able to do the same thing. I will make a pencil disappear.
Do you know how it is possible? You are right. I held the pencil upright in my right hand. Then I placed a handkerchief over it. After that I covered both the pencil and the hand. As I was arranging the handkerchief, I raised my forefinger and allowed the pencil to drop right into me sleeve. My forefinger was holding up the centre of the handkerchief. The pencil vanished!
Harriette: Children, did you enjoy our show? Do you know other tricks? If you do, please, come to our magic school and be its student!
